[[Wyndham Garden Muscat]] is now seeking a [[Assistant Front Office Manager]] to join our team.

Job Summary

The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for supervising and controlling all Front Office staff together with the Front Office Manager, if the area is up to standards laid down by the hotel, to maximize revenue and profit to agreed budgetary limits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Managerial responsibility

To act on behalf of the Front Office manager if he/she is not available. To ensure maximum room occupancy within agreed overbooking policy. To ensure that credit control procedures are strictly adhered to, that no bill exceeds the stipulated limit without prior approval and that written confirmation, purchase order, or orders are on file. Ensure top producing accounts are protected during high book dates and inform them accordingly. Ensure all front office management operation is in line with the hotel policy. Maximize high room revenue using yield and revenue maximization formula. To carry out systematic check in the front of house area for maintenance requirements, repair or refurbishments, ensuring that there are actioned without delay. To make sure that guest accounts are balanced daily and inform the General Manager for any variance. Up sell room during high /busy dates to maximize revenue. Attend regular management and departmental meetings. To work very closely with the Housekeeping department, getting all updates about room's status, inform about VIP and priority rooms etc. Ensure all guest service areas including lobby are clean and safe. Make sure all of the hotel surrounding areas are clean and safe and ensure the security of guests. Work in conjunction with hotel security officers to respond to disturbances in guest rooms, medical emergencies, undesirable guests and including overall safety and security throughout the hotel. Update the senior management on daily basis about hotel occupancy and forecast for the coming days. Oversee the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program and ensure enrollment target is met and all procedures are followed properly. Train existing and new staff and other involved departments and share new promotions and updates in liaison with the Loyalty Manager

Guest Services

To ensure that check in & check out procedures are strictly adhered. Ensure that all repeated guest are treated as VIP and amenities are extended throughout their stay. Handles complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others in a professional manner. To ensure that newspapers and any parcels belonging to the guest are delivered without any delay. Provide high degree of professional service to arriving and departing guests. Maintain a good relation with high producing corporate and travel agents. All VIP, long stay, repeat and Wyndham Rewards guest arrivals are provided with a very high standard of service. To ensure that luggage is delivered to and collected from guest room speedily. Control guest transportation requirements and oversee vehicle availability.
