The Assistant Electrician supports licensed electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role involves assisting with wiring, troubleshooting, tool handling, and ensuring job sites are safe and compliant with electrical codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist electricians in installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures.
Help maintain and troubleshoot electrical circuits and components.
Carry tools, prepare materials, and clean up work areas.
Pull wires, drill holes, and mount electrical boxes under supervision.
Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Test electrical systems and continuity using testing devices.
Maintain equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
Support in routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year of experience in an electrical or construction role.
Technical training or completed apprenticeship (preferred).
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and tools.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Physical fitness to stand, climb, and lift heavy objects.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
