Position: Assistant Director of Human Resources (Full time #536508) Property / Office: Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a Luxury large resort, used to a fast paced environment, fluent in an EU language besides English is an advantage.
The Assistant Director of Human Resources will work closely with Director of Human Resources to oversee all aspects of HR Management, such as colleague development, performance management, colleague relations, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Compliance: To keep abreast of the various developments and interpret implications of legislations which may affect the Hotel; stays up-to date with laws and regulations, and ensure compliance in all HR practices; ensures the working environment for all colleagues complies with local safety and health standards.
Talent Acquisition: Plans and formulates short to medium-term HR strategies, programs and guidelines which enables the Hotel to attract and retain the highest calibre of colleagues.

Colleague Relations: Promotes and maintain proper procedures for addressing colleague concerns, providing guidance and/or resolving conflicts and handling grievances; spearheads and implements measures and policies that will ensure positive colleague climate, high morale and effective communication
Colleague Engagement: Create, develop and implement strategies and year-round activities to enhance colleague engagement, job satisfaction and retention.
HR Administration: Responsible to set up and oversee all Human Resources practices, processes and systems; prepares HR budget, manpower planning, as outlined in the annual budgeting process; study and propose organizational development and process re-engineering to minimize costs and increase organizational effectiveness; liaise with MOHG Corporate/Regional HR Division to ensure all monthly reports are completed and ad hoc projects and standards are compiled and maintained.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment.
A minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an Assistant Director of HR or 3 years as an HRM or equivalent role
International experience with GCC and/or Dubai preferred.
Has worked with HR Information and Recruitment Systems
With strong knowledge of UAE Labor Law
