The InterContinental Hotels Group\xc2\xae properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn. A little taste of your day-to-day:

• Ensure compliance with IHG and Owning Company policies and procedures.
• Assist the Credit Manager and Finance & Business Support Manager where necessary in reconciling accounts or preparing reports.
• Supervise Accounts Receivable activities in terms of billings, payment postings, and internal follow-ups.
• Follow up on collections of Accounts Receivable, taking all necessary actions to secure timely payment and emphasizing overdue amounts.
• Monitor and manage all daily processes, including bank transfers and cheques, to keep receivables up to date.
• Review the Pay Master (PM) accounts as per IHG standards and make necessary follow-ups with Operations, Sales & Events Teams to secure additional credit information or obtain immediate settlement.
• Handle billing and collection for Groups & Events.
• Organise and take part in Credit Meetings and Aging Reviews.
• Ensure all team members are properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Events, Sales, Reservations, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Accounting.

What we need from you:

• A degree in Hotel Management or Accounting with a minimum of two years of demonstrated experience as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor or in a similar Finance role within a 5-star hotel environment.
• Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
• Familiarity with Opera, Micros, and Sun System is advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong administration and organizational skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to train, supervise, inspire, and positively coach the team.
