At Mihbash, We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Chef to join our kitchen team. The Assistant Chef will work closely with the Head Chef in preparing, cooking, and presenting food while ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and efficiency are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in daily food preparation and cooking.
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and served on time.
Follow recipes and presentation standards as directed by the Head Chef.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
Monitor stock levels, assist in inventory control, and report shortages.
Assist in menu planning, development of new dishes, and daily specials.
Support training and guidance for junior kitchen staff when required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience as a Commis Chef, Assistant Chef, or similar role.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Culinary certification or diploma (preferred but not mandatory).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to [insert weight, e.g., 20kg].
Comfortable working in hot and fast-paced kitchen environments.
