Assistant Buyer -

beauty & skin care

, beauty tools & accessories, you will be responsible for planning and controlling the area's sales through its purchases of high-quality merchandise at the most advantageous price, in order to meet and maintain merchandising standards and sales and profit objectives.

Responsibilities

Assist the Buyer in identifying and evaluating high-quality local (UAE) and international suppliers, with a focus on beauty, personal care, apparel, and accessories, ensuring optimal pricing and quality. Maintain strong supplier relationships, lead local negotiations (payment terms, return policies, etc.), and reduce procurement costs. Adapt product selections provided by the China buyer team to align with local market preferences (e.g., Halal-compliant beauty formulations). Analyze UAE consumer trends and submit regular competitor reports for beauty/personal care and apparel/accessories. Participate in product selection meetings with the China team, providing localization recommendations. Place re-orders as applicable in consultation with buyers and communicate relevant information to all relevant parties in planning and supply chain. Maintain an accurate database of vendor agreements and forward completed vendor agreements to Merchandise Planning. Liaise with marketing to prepare promotional events for the season promotion. Work with merchandising and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of goods. Analyze weekly sales and action all necessary transfers, reorders, and stock swaps. Consolidate buying feedback reports and provide buyers with reports and recommendations per brand portfolio.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in business administration, or other related fields. 3-4 years of proven experience as assistant buyer in a retail environment
