We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Banquet Manager to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our banquet operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of events and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.
Assist the Banquet Manager in overseeing daily banquet operations and event execution
Collaborate with various departments to coordinate and deliver exceptional guest experiences
Manage and motivate the banquet team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Ensure timely and precise setup of banquet spaces according to event specifications
Monitor and maintain quality standards for food, beverage, and service delivery
Assist in creating and implementing innovative banquet concepts and service ideas
Conduct regular staff training sessions to enhance skills and maintain service standards
Manage inventory, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for banquet operations
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Assist in scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs and budget requirements
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in all banquet areas
Participate in pre- and post-event briefings, providing valuable insights for continuous improvement
Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and customize event offerings
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting
Proven track record of leadership and team management in a banquet or events environment
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and banquet management software
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly advantageous
In-depth understanding of banquet operations, event planning, and catering services
Thorough knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Experience with inventory management and cost control in a banquet setting
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical skills for evaluating and improving banquet operations
Additional Information
Minimum 1 year of experience in the same or similar role
Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
