Job Purpose:
We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced
Assistant Banquet Manager
to join our team and support the successful execution of all banquet operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Banquet Manager in the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet events
Supervise banquet staff, ensuring high service standards are met at all times
Manage the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring accuracy with function sheets
Liaise with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and place orders as needed
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally
Assist with training and development of banquet team members
Maintain proper records and assist in administrative tasks including scheduling and billing
Qualifications & Competencies:
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in banquet operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and organizational abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Knowledge of banquet software (e.g., Opera, or similar) is an advantage
