Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Baker and decorator to prepare a variety of cakes, cookies and baked goods.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a wide variety of sweets such as cakes, cookies, brownies, cake truffles from our recipes Understand deep knowledge of baking with cookies and cakes Decorate cakes using different icing techniques, toppings Customize cakes for different occasions such as birthdays, weddings, and special events. Keep the work area clean and organized. Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders in a timely manner. Working knowledge of baking and recipe development Experimenting with new techniques, flavors, and ingredients to innovate and improve upon existing cake and cookie recipes. Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders when needed Manages all day-to-day operations of the bakery section of the kitchen. Maintain a high quality of material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking. Adhering to proper hygiene practices and food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment. Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs - will be working as a team and will help with anything needed in the studio and kitchen
Requirements and Skills:

Proven experience as a cake maker and decorator. Proficiency in baking various types of cakes. Strong artistic and creative skills and attention to detail Attention to detail and precision in decorating cakes. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills. Food handler's certificate (preferred). Knowledge of food safety principles and proper sanitation practices is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe working environment and preventing foodborne illnesses. Certificate in culinary arts, baking or relevant field Great team working skills, with positive attitude
Experience:

Bakery/cake decorator: 3 years minimum (Required)

Job Type: Full-time, 6 days a week
