Position Overview: As an Art Gallery Manager Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our gallery. You will work closely with the Gallery Manager to ensure the seamless execution of exhibitions, events, and administrative tasks. Your keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and genuine passion for art will contribute to the overall success of our gallery. Responsibilities: Planning, coordination, and execution of gallery exhibitions, including artwork preparation, installation, and documentation. Manage the gallery\'s front desk, warmly welcoming visitors, answering inquiries, and providing information about artists and exhibitions. Handle sales transactions, process artwork purchases, and assist clients with inquiries about pricing, availability, and shipping. Maintain the gallery\'s digital and physical records, including inventory, artist contracts, and client databases. Create, develop and implement marketing strategies, including social media updates, email campaigns, and promotional materials. Organize and overlook gallery events, workshops, and art fairs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for participants. Ensure a clean, organized, and visually appealing gallery space at all times. Conduct research on artists, art trends, and potential collaborators to contribute to the gallery\'s programming and growth. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Arts Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong passion for contemporary art and a solid understanding of art history and artistic processes. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences. Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of multitasking and managing priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with art inventory management systems. At least 3 years experience in an art gallery, museum, or arts organization is required Social media savvy with the ability to contribute to online promotional efforts.
