About the job Area Sales Manager

Our client is a leading player in the mattress manufacturing and retail industry in Dubai, UAE, with 30 years of expertise in the industry. They are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join their team in Dubai.

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing a team of sales representatives, and fostering strong relationships with retailers and distributors within the assigned area. This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the mattress industry, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and the ability to lead and inspire a sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for sales and collection targets, network expansion including opening new company showrooms, new market development, design and implement innovative promotional schemes in the given territory.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of sales representatives to optimize performance and enhance customer engagement.
  • Manage Dealers, Distributors and hospitality customers and develop good relationship for business development.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure effective product positioning, promotions, and branding initiatives.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasting, reporting, and analysis to provide insights and support business decisions.
  • Travel within the assigned area to oversee sales operations, conduct training, and participate in trade shows or events.
  • Manage sales team including conducting training programs, monitoring daily activities including reviewing their performance for effectiveness.
  • Adhere to the company\'s policies, report daily about the progress including competitor\'s activities.
  • Monitor the functioning of the company showrooms and take necessary action for effectiveness and viability.
  • To track the existing and new hospitality business for improving market share
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 5-10 years in sales, preferably catering to the Hospitality sector of the mattress industry for UAE and KSA regions.
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques, market trends, and consumer behaviour in the mattress industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned region as required.
  • The results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated history of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation.
