Job Description

As Sales Manager, your role is to develop for a specific area the sales and the profitability of Competek on Packaging services, Molds and Line conversion. The Area Sales Manager will cov-er Italy, Balkan, Greece and some East countries of Europe. Competek is a new company part of Sidel Group who has been created after the integration of COMEP (France) in 2019 and Pet Engi-neering (ITALY) in 2018. We employ 83 people on both sites and our activities are the engineer-ing of new packaging solution, manufacturing of the tools, installation and conversion of produc-tion line for the beverage industry. Competek combines 20 years of experience and expertise to supply innovative solution, able to personalize its solutions to customers\' needs and with a world-wide presence.

Your Mission

  • Increase sales and profitability of Competek, reaching the targets and goals set for his/her area
  • Define and implement action plans, adapting the sales strategy to his/her area
  • Prepare and finalize the commercial offers, adapted to customers specifications while proposing additional services when possible
  • Sell and negotiate Competek portfolio, according to rules and processes of the Company
  • Plan customer contacts and visits
  • Maintain and expand his/her customer base
  • Provide forecasts and report to relevant stakeholders
  • Collect and analyze market and competitor information on his/her area
  • Define reliable solutions with customers in case of overdue
  • Validate new customers according to Company rules
  • Define the content and the pricing of each offer
  • Validate each order vs offer
  • Ask for derogations when needed
  • Increase sales and profitability of Competek, reaching the targets and goals set for his/her area
  • Solving problems

Your Profile

Level of education and languages:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products for use in a sales management environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Foreign language as per geography is a plus
Required experience and skills:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in capital equipment sales and territory/business area management, particularly in the packaging and/or rigid plastic industry
  • Established customer base and network within the rigid container market
  • Significant rigid container equipment, market and industry knowledge
  • Market evaluation and analysis skills, planning skills; ability to develop and present a value proposition
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Sales management experience; excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel (>50%)
