. The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, design, and execution of
community masterplan and villa development projects
. This position requires strong technical expertise, creativity, and a comprehensive understanding of architectural design principles within the GCC context.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the
architectural design process
for master planned communities and villa developments, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external consultants, including urban planners, landscape architects, structural, and MEP engineers, to ensure fully coordinated design solutions.
Review, validate, and approve architectural drawings, technical documentation, and construction deliverables to maintain design integrity and compliance with standards.
Ensure all designs meetlocal authority regulations, zoning requirements, and sustainability guidelines.
Participate in design presentations, client meetings, and technical discussions to communicate design intent and provide professional recommendations.
Monitor and support construction activities to ensure quality execution consistent with the approved design.
Contribute to the development and implementation of design standards, guidelines, and best practices across projects.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior architects and design engineers.
Support tender processes, design revisions, and value engineering initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in
Architecture
or
Architectural Engineering
(Master's Degree preferred).
Minimum of
10 years of professional experience
, with at least
5 years in the GCC
working on villa developments and masterplanned communities.
Strong understanding of GCC building codes, authority approval processes, and construction practices.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
Excellent knowledge of architectural detailing, building materials, and sustainable design principles.
Exceptional coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Professional membership with a recognized architectural body (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers, RIBA, or equivalent).
Knowledge of LEED, Estidama, or other sustainable building frameworks.
Experience working with real estate developers or large-scale consultancy firms.
