Job Description

Preparing construction/shop/working drawings/BIM Models by studying architectural drawings, specifications, and supporting documents. Developing a full understanding of project details and requirements, by being fully aware of the drawings and specifications. Checking team member's shop drawings and creates redlines for correction. Resolving discrepancies by collecting information and proposing solutions. Detecting clashes in Navis works or Equivalent software of a BIM Model Developing conceptual sketches and hand sketches into good for construction drawings. Generating construction method statements for installation/attachment of architectural products. Analyzing incoming projects prior to cost estimation and recommending cost effective solutions and proposing Materials for a project wherever required. Computing and quantifying technical data (surface areas, volumes, etc.) from received architectural drawings for cost estimation purposes. Performing technical inspections, verify site measurements, etc. of production to ensure conformity with agreed technical details. Performing site visit on an as needed basis to check on progress and ensure that the installation of architectural items is being done accurately. Checking as-built measurements on site to ensure conformity with the working drawings. Updated working drawings/shop drawings if required. Meeting with clients to discuss project technical requirements, working drawings, BOQ etc. Working closely with the senior Architect and the production Manager. Coordinating and cooperating with colleagues and other departments. Other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the management or its duly authorized representative shall also from part of this job description. Handling work under pressure and putting extra efforts by waiting even after office hours in order to meet the project deadlines whenever required.
