Claywatt Construction is expanding its technical and project management team with the addition of a skilled

Architectural & Civil Draftsman

. We are seeking a detail-driven professional with a deep understanding of local authority standards, who excels in producing accurate, construction-ready drawings for villa, townhouse, and low-rise projects across Dubai.

About the Role

This position requires precision, speed, and fluency in authority-compliant drafting. You will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and updating architectural and civil drawings, ensuring alignment with structural, MEP, and site execution requirements. Your work will directly support consultants, engineers, and site teams in delivering error-free builds under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Produce complete sets of architectural and civil shop drawings, coordinated with structural and MEP layouts Prepare as-built drawings, detail sections, facade layouts, and site plans for authority and consultant submissions Revise and update drawings based on design changes, consultant mark-ups, and authority feedback Ensure full compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), Trakheesi, and other local authority drafting standards Support permit applications and approval processes by preparing clear and complete drawing packages Coordinate closely with engineers, site teams, and project managers to ensure technical accuracy and seamless execution Maintain drawing logs and version control across all design stages

Candidate Profile

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field Minimum of

5 years of relevant drafting experience

, including

at least 3 years in Dubai

working on villas and low-rise residential/commercial projects Proven experience with

Dubai Municipality (DM)

submissions, and familiarity with Trakheesi, DDA, and other approval authorities Expert in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is an advantage Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, drawing standards, and technical documentation practices Exceptional attention to detail, layout clarity, and drawing organization Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver under pressure UAE driving license is a plus but not mandatory
