JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an

Interior Designer / Architect for our Construction Company

to join our dynamic design team who can creates functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing indoor spaces by planning and managing projects from concept to completion. These include meeting with clients to understand their needs, developing design plans using software, selecting materials like furniture, lighting, and finishes, and overseeing the implementation of the project by coordinating with contractors and other professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing interior architectural designs that align with client needs and project goals. This role requires a strong understanding of spatial design, materials, building codes, and construction processes. The Interior Architect will collaborate with clients, contractors, and other design professionals to deliver innovative and functional interior environments.

Core responsibilities

Client interaction:

Meet with clients to discuss their goals, budget, and requirements for the space.

Design planning:

Analyze how a space will be used and create preliminary sketches, floor plans, and detailed designs, often using software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.

Material selection:

Specify and source materials and furnishings, including flooring, wall finishes, lighting, paint, and furniture.

Project management:

Create project timelines and budgets, place orders for materials, and oversee the installation and construction process to ensure the design is executed correctly.

Coordination:

Work closely with contractors, architects, electricians, painters, and other tradespeople to implement the design plan.

Compliance:

Ensure designs comply with building codes, accessibility standards, and other regulations.

Required skills

Creativity:

Strong artistic ability, imagination, and a good eye for design are essential.

Technical proficiency:

Skill in using design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant programs, is crucial.

Experience:

Candidate should have at least

2-5 year Experienc

e in relevant field

Communication:

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills are needed to communicate with clients and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

Project management:

Experience in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources is important.

Attention to detail:

A strong focus on details is necessary to ensure all aspects of the design are considered and executed properly.

Knowledge:

Awareness of building codes, safety regulations, and current design trends is also important.
