Architect (GRC/Cladding Specialist)
Job Title: Architect - Facade & Cladding Specialist
Reports To: Head of Architecture / Project Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Architect with specialized expertise in Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) and other cladding systems. You will be responsible for the design, development, and technical execution of building envelopes and facades. Your role is critical in ensuring that our projects are not only aesthetically striking but also structurally sound, weatherproof, and compliant with all relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and detailing of architectural facades, with a focus on GRC, stone, metal, and other cladding materials.
• Develop comprehensive design packages, including concept designs, detailed drawings, specifications, and material schedules.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to ensure the integrity and safety of the cladding systems.
• Conduct material research and selection, evaluating products for performance, cost, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and subcontractors to review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Provide technical support to the construction team during the procurement and installation phases.
• Conduct site visits to inspect workmanship, ensure adherence to design intent, and resolve any technical issues that arise.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in facade engineering and cladding systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in architectural design, with a specific focus on GRC and cladding systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other 3D modeling software (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp).
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, material properties, and construction methodologies related to facades.
