Job Summary:

The Architect will play a key role in the design and development phases of our projects, from conceptualization through to detailed documentation. This position requires a solid foundation in architectural design principles, technical proficiency, a good understanding of UAE building regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Documentation:

Assist in the development of architectural concepts and schematic designs. Prepare detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details for various project stages. Develop design presentations and visual aids for client and stakeholder reviews. Support the selection and specification of building materials, finishes, and components.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all designs comply with Dubai Municipality building codes, regulations, and local authority requirements. Assist in the preparation and submission of architectural documents for obtaining necessary permits and approvals. Address and incorporate comments from authorities during the approval process under senior guidance.

Coordination & Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with senior architects, engineers (structural, MEP), interior designers, and other consultants to ensure design coordination and integration. Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. Provide design clarifications and support to the tendering and construction teams.

Construction Support:

Conduct periodic site visits to observe construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent and specifications (under senior supervision). Assist in reviewing shop drawings and material samples for compliance with design specifications. Respond to basic Requests for Information (RFIs) from contractors, escalating complex issues to senior architects.

Drawing & Data Management:

Maintain organized architectural project files, drawings, and documentation. Ensure proper version control of drawings and revisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognized and accredited university.

Experience:

Minimum

3 years of progressive experience as an Architect in the UAE

, demonstrating involvement in design and documentation phases of projects.

Software Proficiency:

Proficiency in AutoCAD. Good working knowledge of BIM software (e.g., Revit). Competency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape). Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) for presentations.

Technical Knowledge:

Solid understanding of architectural design principles, construction methods, and building materials. Basic knowledge of Dubai Municipality building codes and local authority approval processes. Awareness of sustainable design concepts is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Strong design aptitude and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction. Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
