Job Purpose The role involves a high level of responsibility, overseeing projects from inception to completion. The candidate should possess creativity, excellent technical knowledge, and strong communication and management skills. Main Accountabilities
Manage architecture-related aspects for projects, including renovations, upgrades, and maintenance. Incorporate integrated and sustainable design solutions into projects and develop solutions to design problems. Ensure all design and construction documentation conform to QA/QC standards. Assist the senior manager in tendering processes and the selection of consultants, contractors, and suppliers. Manage the preparation of technical drawings by design consultants. Review and recommend technical and commercial proposals from consultants, contractors, and service providers. Ensure projects are designed and completed according to specifications, within budget and schedule. Ensure operational requirements are incorporated into designs within budget and time constraints. Agree on contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and designs. Review bids analysis and recommend contract awards. Assist in analyzing consultant recommendations and sample submissions for compliance. Review and assess contractor variation claims. Conduct site visits during construction and prepare assessment reports. Review and approve payments to consultants and contractors. Assist in handover processes between construction and operations. Monitor compliance with budgets and ensure assets are properly recorded and tracked. Prepare periodic status reports for projects. Ensure compliance with local authorities' codes, standards, and licensing requirements. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture. 15 years of professional experience in construction, hotel/resort design, with large development projects and multidisciplinary teams. Strong technical and project management knowledge. Effective communication skills in English. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and knowledge of Revit. Ability to perform space planning and develop area schedules during initial phases. Strong design skills with knowledge of sustainable building design. Advanced knowledge of building systems, sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines. Understanding of QA/QC processes, building codes, and research skills for technical documentation. Knowledge of hotel operations; interior design experience is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
