Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

Arc Welder with Fabricator

to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components and structures, using arc welding techniques. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, precision, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Arc Welding:

Perform arc welding using various techniques such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW).

Fabrication:

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to fabricate metal parts and assemblies. Measure, cut, and shape metal using tools such as saws, shears, and plasma cutters.

Assembly:

Assemble and weld components to form structures or subassemblies, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements.

Material Preparation:

Prepare surfaces and components for welding by grinding, cleaning, and removing any contaminants.

Quality Control:

Inspect welds for strength, integrity, and conformance to project standards. Repair or modify structures as needed to meet quality guidelines.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain and operate welding equipment, including adjusting settings, changing consumables, and conducting basic maintenance to ensure proper functionality.

Safety Compliance:

Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to meet deadlines and project goals.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum [X] years of experience in arc welding and fabrication, preferably in construction or manufacturing settings.

Certification:

Welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred but optional.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and other arc welding techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of welding symbols, safety standards, and fabrication processes.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various positions, and handle physically demanding tasks.

Attention to Detail:

Excellent focus on precision and accuracy in welding and fabrication tasks.

Problem Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or welding-related issues on the job.

Work Environment:

May work in a fabrication at a company or at construction sites. Requires standing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Exposure to noise, heat, and potentially hazardous materials (with safety precautions in place).
