Job Description

Senior Accountant

, with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership. Experience in the shipping or logistics industry is a plus.Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records Handle communications and transactions with local and international banks Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Support the monthly and year-end closings Manage and mentor junior accountants, ensuring high-quality and timely work Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors as needed Ensure compliance with Iraqi financial regulations and internal policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a shipping or logistics company Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel Excellent communication and organizational skills
Arabic fluency is required
English proficiency is essential
