Drive improvements in teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum planning in line with best practices.
Develop, support and monitor the implementation of action plans at the levels of the cluster as well as individual schools.
Design and deliver professional development opportunities to enhance teaching and learning practices and coach and monitor the implementation of the introduced strategies and approaches.
Collaborate with other departments in the school to ensure that the approaches adopted in the Arabic and Islamic departments align with best practices in other school departments wherever possible.
Ensure that schools implement robust assessment approaches and make effective use of data in Arabic and Islamic.
Ensure that the team implements effective documentation and evidencing processes.
Support school leadership in conducting performance evaluations for teachers and heads of departments.
Develop approaches to enhance parental engagement across phases.
Ensure that the schools identify and adopts digital tools and platforms effectively.
Ensure that schools are compliant in terms of teacher recruitment, curriculum etc.

Skills
B.A. in Arabic language or Islamic Studies or Education / B.ED in Education (desirable).
At least 2-3 years of relevant leadership experience (head of department or pedagogy coach or equivalent).
At least 5 years of teaching experience
Experience providing support to teams.
Proven record of positive impact on Arabic and/or Islamic improvement in a school
Experience as a senior/middle leadership team member (desirable)
Understanding of Modern language teaching practices
Ability to implement effective and impactful approaches for capacity building
Ability to manage and lead change
Excellent data analysis skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster collaboration
Ability to communicate effectively in both Arabic and English
