Arabian Government Relations Manager (chinese Speaking)

Job Description

  • Manage the Government Relations team to ensure that all Government related requirements related to the Banks Employee base are managed effectively and within agreed Service Legal Agreements (SLA\xe2\x80\x99S).
  • You will manage the communication with all Government Offices, Ministries, Chamber of Commerce, Police Departments etc. as required. You will also obtain, maintain and renew arrangements with immigration, passport authorities and foreign embassies to ensure the smooth movement of employees and visitors.
  • Developing internal and external relationships using formal and informal channels to liaise with appropriate authorities / bodies or contact persons to resolve any problems or matters concerning the Company, its operations or employees, including traffic accidents and police matters.
  • Be well versed on required HR policies, procedures, and online government systems in order to provide advice on related and current practices and procedures at an advanced level to the GRO unit and onboarding employees.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the department and company ensuring that business visas to other countries are obtained from foreign embassies / consulates as required by the business.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for senior management with regards to government relations.
  • Be knowledgeable of the UAE\xe2\x80\x99s Labor laws and procedures within Immigration and Ministry of Labor in order to process the required documents within agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure timely completion of visa processes against agreed SLAs for employees and dependents whilst providing regular progress updates to the GRO unit and HRBPs. Ensure all queries and complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and be the point of contact for any escalated cases.
  • Communicates with various government agencies for certification of documents and coordinates with third parties on documentation needs;
  • Continuously review systems, procedures and practices to identify shortcomings and recommend best practice solutions to increase efficiency and performance. This includes developing e-smart services and use of online portals to provide efficient and streamlined visa services.
  • Protect the interest of the company in accordance with governmental authorities, laws and regulation.
  • Provide in-depth professional guidance and advice on GR queries and resolve issues to employees and Line Managers.
  • Develops own professional expertise by on-the-job and formal training and developing networking and contacts within Immigration, MOL and GPSSA.
  • Plan, prioritize and allocate work assignments to the GR team, and monitor their performance to ensure the quality and timely execution of tasks.
Requirement:
  • 2-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in UAE Government Relations related work.
  • Effective communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Must have Bachelor and above Education qualification.
  • Good understanding of protocols and procedures to be compliant with UAE regulations
