Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and experienced

Aquarist

to manage and maintain aquariums both in-house and at client locations. The candidate must be passionate about aquatic life and have sound knowledge of aquarium systems, fish care, and water quality management. The role includes regular service visits outside the company premises for client support and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance of freshwater and marine aquariums at company and customer sites. Conduct water testing and ensure appropriate water quality and parameters are maintained. Clean tanks, change water, service filters, and perform equipment maintenance. Feed fish and invertebrates, observe behavior, and report signs of illness or stress. Acclimate and introduce new livestock to tanks; manage quarantine procedures as needed. Provide aquarium cleaning and servicing at customer locations as per schedule. Maintain accurate service and maintenance logs for all aquariums. Advise customers on fish care, tank setup, and maintenance practices. Assist with setting up and designing new aquariums for clients. Handle livestock transportation safely when needed. Maintain inventory of equipment, chemicals, and livestock.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in aquarium maintenance or aquarist role. Strong understanding of freshwater and/or marine aquarium systems and aquatic animal health. Willingness and ability to travel for outdoor service jobs as required. Ability to diagnose and treat common fish diseases. Physically fit to lift tanks, equipment, and handle manual tasks. Good organizational and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in aquaculture, marine biology, or related field (preferred). Valid UAE driving license is a strong advantage. Prior experience in aquarium servicing for customers or retail setups.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
