Job Title: Applications Manager

Reporting to: Chief Information Officer (CIO)

JOB SUMMARY

Works under the management and supervision of the IT Chief Information officer who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness through the analysis of work products, observations, and meetings.

The Applications Manager position serves as the primary administrator and developer for current and future enterprise business systems.

The position will work closely with staff to develop business process improvements focused on integrating those processes into the group and enterprise business systems.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

A sound functional knowledge in Financial & accounting applications in terms of process, cycles, controls, reporting, etc.

- A hands-on experience in ERP development platforms and database management. - A good software experience in SDLC including requirement gathering, Analysis, design, development, and maintenance.

- A good experience in designing and developing Data Analytics for different business operational and managerial levels.

- Must have an excellent problem-solving skill and able to work under pressure. - Experience in monitoring business & software solutions rollouts, and deployments. - Analyzing business software requirements & recommending the right technology and applications.

- A good experience and knowledge of networking setups, protocols, and security.

- Must have a good experience in software troubleshooting and database management. - Responsible for the upkeeping of the various databases in the environment along with the DBA.

- A good practical experience in ensuring that business applications are upgraded from time to time & patch sets are being maintained to the latest levels

- A good practical experience Ensuring the latest backup solutions are in place & regular periodic backups are performed for the various applications.

- Must have a good functional and technical experience to lead and supervise the Functional & Technical teams for the design, development, implementation & support of the various applications.

- Administer the software team across various platforms such as Oracle Ebiz, .NET, SharePoint & Business Intelligence (BI).

- Ensuring that proper training is being provided to users of the various applications.

Qualifications Education and Training

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Information Technology.

Experience

Minimum 10 plus years' experience and at least seven (7) years developing, managing, and administering one or more enterprise applications (managerial experience)

Abilities:

Must be able to:

Diagnose and resolve incidents in a fast-paced environment. Identify and analyze complex technical problems, evaluate alternative solutions and make sound judgments, especially in stressful situations. Perform highly technical work independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative Organize and expedite workload, initiate work projects and to work independently. Work independently to install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair IT software. Interact with end-users of varying skill levels and to provide appropriate training and assistance. Prepare effective written reports and correspondence, and deliver effective oral communications

Document operations and procedures. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to QAR35,000.00 per month
