We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Honeywell Building Technologies - Airports organisation as Advanced Application Engineer II based in Dubai, UAE. In this role, you will participate in capturing all technical requirements with the customer, the design, estimation, engineering, configuration, testing and commissioning of Control & Monitoring System applications, A-SMGCS, ATM, VDGS, Induction Loop Sensors and other related technologies in the Airports projects/products. You will work in a collaborative and customer exposed environment to maintain high operational availability of the network and ensure the availability and security of Honeywell Airport technology applications and data.

What Will You Be Doing Every Single Day?

• Build requirements gathering and specification to design and prepare system as well software solution proposals in line with strategies and best practices

• Provide Advanced Engineering & Application Management Support for the day-to-day operation of AGLCMS & Level 4 Advanced Surface Movement & Guidance Control System.

• Work in close partnership with the HAB R&D team and GES in the definition of project requirements and drive engagements with ICAO, FAA, EASA, IEC and other standards bodies as Honeywell representative to contribute on specifications and standards.

• Partner with the HAB Sales & Business Consultants & Regional Sales Support Center; engaging Airport clients, consulting, and design companies to position Honeywell AGL Power Supply/Control Systems & Services effectively as well as lead specific strategic pursuits

• Establish & Manage onsite Software Configuration Management System.

• Deliver growth and productivity to meet OI targets.

• Cycle time reduction by increasing productivity, Ensure utilization of Engineering Resources to 100%.

• Preparation of method of statements for the activities required to carry out Installation, Testing and Commissioning

• Preparation of standard operating procedures of Airfield Ground Lighting System, Control monitoring system, A-SMGCS, ATM, VDGS, Induction Loop Sensors for installation works

• Build quality plan for carrying out installation, testing and commissioning

• Be responsible for checklist, testing & commissioning plans

• Installation, testing, commissioning, and warranty & post-warranty maintenance of air traffic control systems

• Instruct site acceptance plan and related documents

• Validation and acceptance on airport premises

• Act as a mentor by training and briefing of airport personnel

• Handling of quality assurance aspects from review of Quality Plans, site quality assurance, factory & site acceptance testing, final inspections & snag rectification, quality documentation and handover/technical transfer of systems

• Leading field work as well all quality assurance office tasks meeting company & client requirements

What Skills and Experience Will You Have?

• Bachelor or Diploma Degree or equivalent - Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, Electronics or equivalent

• Solid work experience on installation, testing and commissioning of AGLCMS systems.

• Experience of working within the Airports / Air-side Solutions market

• Strong knowledge of AGL & CMS, operations and planning skills,

• Hands on experience in designing Topology, implementing, and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.

• Customer facing experience, driven to build strong working relationships

• Preparation of technical and material submittals

• Preparation of method of statements for the activities required to carry out Installation, Testing and Commissioning.

• Experienced in preparing checklists, testing & commissioning plans

• Experience with relevant airport safety regulations

• Excellent team and communication skills, (verbal and written), negotiation and interpersonal skill

• Hands-on experience in Commissioning and testing of electrical power equipment with output voltage up to 5000VAC

• Strong knowledge & experiences on power electronics and power transformation

• Knowledge of electronic control board functions

• An ability to influence across a broader organization

• Firm knowledge of electrical safety roles

• Be able to understand and calculate electrical circuits Loads

• Strong knowledge and experiences on electrical power supply and distribution.

• Fixing focused on determining hardware vs. software, hardware vs. firmware, software vs. operating system, network vs. application/systems

• Accurate technical reporting with test sheets and protocols
