About the Role

We are hiring an

API Integration & Support Engineer

to manage, support, and optimize integrations for our BNPL fintech platform. The ideal candidate will work closely with merchants, partners, compliance providers, and internal technical teams to ensure seamless API communication, secure data exchange, and high-quality integration performance across web, mobile, CRM, and compliance systems.

Key Responsibilities

API Integration & Merchant Support

Assist merchants in integrating BNPL APIs into websites, mobile apps, and backend systems. Troubleshoot API authentication, callback issues, data mapping, and connectivity errors. Ensure correct implementation of BNPL features across online and offline merchant environments. Maintain and troubleshoot CRM integrations for accurate data synchronization. Coordinate with internal teams to enhance automation and workflow consistency.

Compliance & Secure Data Exchange

Support secure data exchange with verification, risk, and compliance partners. Ensure all integrations comply with BNPL security, privacy, and regulatory requirements. Monitor data accuracy and resolve issues related to secure file transfer and API-based reporting. Assist with onboarding and maintaining integrations with e-KYC, AML, and compliance systems. Monitor API performance, logs, and security events according to regulatory best practices.

General API Maintenance

Monitor API gateway performance, uptime, rate limits, and scaling requirements. Ensure API endpoints remain updated with the latest patches and security enhancements. Maintain detailed technical documentation for internal and partner integrations. Collaborate with developers and product teams to introduce new features and resolve complex integration issues.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of experience in API integration, backend development, or technical support. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, OAuth, Webhooks, and authentication methods. Hands-on experience with CRM integrations and third-party API connectivity. Familiarity with fintech APIs, payment systems, or BNPL workflows. Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud preferred or similar). Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or other backend/API-focused languages. Strong debugging skills using Postman, logs, monitoring dashboards, etc. Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and API security best practices. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in BNPL, payments, lending, or financial transaction systems. Knowledge of compliance-related API requirements (eKYC, AML, risk). Previous experience in fintech, e-commerce, SaaS, or banking technology.
