Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Saudi LLC for a:
Analyzer Technician

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity to Carry out required routine preventative Analyzer system maintenance work according to set schedule and the procedures to facilitate continuous operations.
Your main duties will be to:

Monitor the physical condition of all systems and equipment in assigned plant and report non-conformances to Analyzer Maintenance Supervisor to facilitate effective maintenance of all the facilities as per set Quality/ HSE standards.
Respond to Analyzer system failures and implement corrective actions in adherence with procedures and guidelines to reduce downtime and maximize functionality of equipment.
Trouble shoot using necessary tools and spare parts including diagnosis, dismantling, repair, part change, checking, cleaning and reassembly to validate that all analyzers are well calibrated and in good working condition for smooth operations.
Diagnose causes of malfunction or failure of Analyzers such as Gas Chromatographs, SWAS, CEMS H2, Heat Index, Gas detectors etc… and take corrective measures in collaboration with Analyzer Supervisor.
Read and understand technical manuals, PM Procedures, sample flow diagrams and wiring/ interconnection diagrams, Schematic drawings, P&ID, Hook-up drawings and apply the knowledge to carry out maintenance and troubleshooting tasks, to prepare for Analyzer maintenance to systems and equipment in the assigned area.
Align, adjust and calibrate systems and equipment according to specifications and to maintain records of repairs, calibrations and tests.
Update the maintenance logbook and record details of work carried out including defaults, problems, various findings, and conditions of all Analyzer systems to ensure timely availability of information and organized referencing.
Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.
Adhere to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
Attend Emergency breakdown service calls and ensure to bring sampling system and analyzer back into service Prepare Monthly Quarterly Half year yearly Preventive maintenance Plan
Perform any other duties which the line manager may require to be carried out.
Needs to work closely with Maintenance Analyzer Supervisor, Analyzer vendor and Operation Engineers.

Profile

Ideally you will have technical certificate / Associate’s Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics with minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in Analyzer maintenance as a technician in installation, maintenance, and repair / troubleshooting Practical Knowledge of various analyzer working principle such as Gas Chromatographs, SWAS, CEMS, H2, H2S, CO, Heat Index, Gas detectors etc
Experience in Primary and Secondary Sample handling and smart Valve Box technology.
Experience in Internal analyzer parts replacement and servicing
Experience in working with DCS/PLC system
Train junior technicians
Basic knowledge of relevant plant equipment combined cycle plant, RO plant, water treatment plant, gasification plant, soot ash removal plant, hydrogen recovery plant, gas removal plant
Awareness of HSE, Work permits & quality standards
Team work and effective collaboration skills
