Job Summary

The Analyst - Business Intelligence is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support business decision-making. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that drive strategic and operational improvements.

Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection & Validation

Gather data from internal systems, databases, and external sources as needed. Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all reporting layers.

2. Dashboard & Report Development

Design and build interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau. Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency. Ensure visualizations align with business KPIs and goals.

3. Business Analysis & Insight Generation

Analyze trends, variances, and key metrics to identify business opportunities. Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights. Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

4. Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with business units to gather reporting requirements. Act as a liaison between IT, data teams, and business users. Ensure BI solutions meet user expectations and business needs.

5. Performance Monitoring & KPI Tracking

Define, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify deviations from targets and analyze root causes. Recommend corrective actions based on performance trends.

6. Data Governance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and governance standards. Maintain documentation of data sources, definitions, and processes. Assist in the implementation of data quality frameworks.

7. Tool & Technology Utilization

Utilize BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) to deliver solutions. Work with SQL, Excel, and data warehouses for advanced analysis. Evaluate and suggest new tools or enhancements for BI capabilities.

8. Project Support & Delivery

Support BI-related projects from planning through execution. Track project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies. Provide status updates and support testing and rollout phases.

9. Training & Knowledge Sharing

Conduct training sessions for business users on BI tools and dashboards. Document standard procedures and reporting guidelines. Share best practices and foster a data-driven culture.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar role. Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Strong command of SQL, Excel, and data modeling principles. Experience working with large datasets and enterprise data platforms. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience (UX) design. Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Certification in BI or Analytics (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau Desktop Specialist).

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and data lakes. Understanding of statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
