The ideal candidate will have experience in compliance, due diligence, and reporting within the UAE, particularly in the context of business setup and corporate structuring. A background in law or company secretarial practice is highly preferred due to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and oversee the company's Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and compliance framework
Conduct thorough client due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing monitoring as per UAE regulations
Ensure compliance with UAE laws on AMC/CFT in mainland, DIFC, ADGM
Prepare and submit reports via the
goAML
system to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) when needed
Maintain detailed compliance documentation and a comprehensive audit trail for all clients
Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and government bodies (e.g., DIFC, ADGM, MOE, FIU)
Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to evaluate AML risks
Train internal teams on compliance requirements and ensure company-wide adherence
Ensure timely and accurate submissions of all regulatory file ups by clients
Requirements:
Appended by DIFC, ADGM for AML/ CO position
Minimum 2 years of UAE-based AML/Compliance experience, preferably in business setup, legal, or financial services
Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory frameworks and international AML guidelines (FATF, EU standards, etc.)
Proven experience in goAML
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
