To ensure all AMI Smart Meter installations meet ADNOC's quality standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements through systematic QA/QC processes, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Assurance:
?- Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs) for smart meter installation activities.?- Review project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards to ensure compliance.?- Conduct supplier/subcontractor audits for materials and workmanship related to AMI meters, communication modules, and associated equipment.?
2. Quality Control:
?- Supervise and inspect the installation of AMI Smart Meters, ensuring they are installed according to ADNOC requirements, manufacturer instructions, and industry standards.?- Perform pre-installation checks on meters and communication devices.?- Verify calibration and functionality of smart meters before and after installation.?- Witness and verify commissioning and integration of AMI meters with the central system (Head-End System/Data Management System).?
3. Documentation & Reporting:
?- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation such as inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), corrective action reports, and final dossiers.?- Maintain updated installation records, checklists, and calibration certificates.?- Ensure all project documentation aligns with ADNOC HSE and QA/QC policies.?
4. Coordination & Communication:
?- Coordinate with Project Managers, Installation Supervisors, Subcontractors, and ADNOC QA/QC representatives. - Conduct regular site QA/QC meetings and toolbox talks focusing on quality standards and workmanship.?- Liaise with ADNOC quality inspectors for joint inspections and approvals.?
5. Compliance & Improvement:
?- Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE and QA/QC standards at all times.?- Identify recurring quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions.?- Support training programs for installation crews on ADNOC quality standards and best practices.?
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.?
Experience:
3+ years of QA/QC experience in utility infrastructure projects; at least 2 years in smart metering or similar gas distribution projects is preferred.?
Certifications:
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificate Mandatory, ADNOC PTW and HSE certifications are an advantage. ?-
Skills:?
Strong knowledge of AMI systems, smart meter technology, and communication protocols.?
Familiarity with ADNOC Standards, Specifications, and local regulatory requirements.?Proficiency in preparing ITPs, QCPs, NCRs, and other QA/QC documents.?
Good communication and reporting skills.
