The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing quality assurance systems, performing inspections and testing, and maintaining documentation to guarantee the integrity and performance of fabricated components.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the preparation of Method Statements and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) in accordance with project requirements.
Prepares and submits Material Submittals, Vendor Registrations, and Pre-Qualification Documents; follows up with clients to secure necessary approvals.
Monitor and verify welding procedures (TIG, MIG, etc.) and welder qualifications.
Conduct in-process and final product inspections, including visual and dimensional checks, surface finish evaluations, and non-destructive testing (NOT).
Oversees welding activities, including verification, dimensional inspection, and ensuring readiness for painting and final finishing inspection.
Develops and provides Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for various welding processes and ensures their approval by Third Party Agencies (TPA).
Prepares, documents, and issues inspection requests and corresponding inspection reports as part of the QA/QC process.
Conducts material receiving inspections and verifies compliance with Mill Test Certificates (MTCs).
Performs inspection activities for joint fit-up and weld visual checks to ensure conformance with standards prior to painting and further processing
Handles Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including UT, RT, MT, and PT as per project specifications, with the ability to evaluate and interpret all detected discontinuities.
Ensures all inspection and quality documentation is maintained in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.Key Skills:
In-depth knowledge of stainless-steel, Aluminium, Mild Steel and Aluminium Grades.
Familiarity with QA/QC standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, AWS, and ASTM.
Understanding of welding processes (TIG, MIG) and surface treatments (passivation, pickling).
3-5 years of experience in Stainless steel fabrication, including experience with quality systems and inspections.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering or equivalent.
