Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) with expertise in aluminium and facade systems to join our team in the GCC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aluminium glazing, curtain walls, cladding, and other facade works, with proven experience in cost management, contracts, and procurement within the GCC construction sector. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

• Prepare accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost estimates, and tender documents for aluminium and facade projects.
• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Monitor project budgets and provide cost control measures.

2. Procurement & Contracts:

• Manage subcontractor and supplier negotiations for aluminium materials (e.g., profiles, glass, gaskets, fixings).
• Review and finalize subcontract agreements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
• Evaluate variation orders (VOs), claims, and change orders related to aluminium works.

3. Project Cost Control & Reporting:

• Track project expenditures, cash flow, and financial forecasts.
• Conduct cost-value reconciliations and risk assessments.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for management and clients.

4. Leadership & Team Coordination:

• Lead and mentor junior QS team members.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure compliance with GCC construction standards and regulations.

5. Claims & Dispute Resolution:

• Handle delay claims, EOT (Extension of Time) requests, and contractual disputes.
• Support in final account settlements and project close-out reports.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a QS in aluminium & facade systems, with GCC experience mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of aluminium fabrication, installation, and glazing systems.
• Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Planswift, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and local GCC contract laws.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.
