Job Description

To carry out routine maintenance tasks and defect rectification of aircraft components as per company and associated regulatory procedures.

Job Outline:
- GENERIC
- Carry out aircraft components maintenance and servicing tasks in compliance with manufacturer and safety procedures. Ensure that assigned aircraft components are maintained as per latest revisions of approved authority Technical Publications such as CMM, Aircraft documentation, Technical Notices, Quality Notices, and Engineering Procedures Manual etc. Ensure that personal approvals/licences are valid and applicable to aircraft components type/scope.
- Determine if tooling/equipment used is serviceable and appropriate for the task and use specialised tooling where required. Ensure that trouble shooting procedures/tools used for fault rectification are carried out in a cost effective and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all activities performed are carried out in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and in adherence to company procedures, highlighting a deficiencies/requirements through the effective use of reporting tools. Ensure all work locations are kept clean and excellent housekeeping conditions are maintained during the shift.
- Maintain effective communication with Colleagues including Managers and Senior Engineers to ensure a seamless flow of information and to highlight any potential operational issues.
- Manage the performance of staff using performance review process and system. Ensure SMART goal setting, interim/annual reviews and development plans are in place for assigned staff members in accordance with company procedures.
- Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with CAR 145 requirements.
- With the introduction of new Aircraft explore new capability opportunities and assist in developing business case for the same.
- Specific Functions for NDT:
- Responsible for performing testing in NDT field & operate equipment within authorization or under supervision for those scopes that are not covered in his/her authorization.
- Responsible for developing work instructions from approved general procedures.
- Have basic knowledge of the relevant product and specified inspection technology. Have basic knowledge of aircraft, engines and component maintenance.
- Responsible for corrective actions, root cause analysis and risk & opportunity analysis of any findings
- Specific Functions for CAL:
- Responsible for performing calibrations & operate equipment within his/her authorization and intermediate checks and preventive maintenance of equipment.
- Responsible for corrective actions, root cause analysis and risk & opportunity analysis of any findings
- Specific Functions for W&B:
- Responsible to perform, assist, and support all Overhaul/Repair/Inspection tasks required for Wheel & Brake as well as any activity related to chapter 32 of CMM with in Wheel & Brake Shop.
- Responsible for corrective actions, root cause analysis and risk & opportunity analysis of any findings.
- Specific Functions for Airframe Components:
- Proactively identify New Capabilities build-up opportunities of aircraft components and conduct feasibility study, justify the requirement of establishing New Capabilities via Research and Development (R&D), Cost Benefit Analysis (Business Cases) to enhance the work shops capabilities. Be conversant with 145 AMO regulatory framework. Liaise with company internal Compliance Monitoring teams for obtaining necessary Regulatory approvals for shop activities.
- Lead the project to build up the agreed new aircraft components capabilities until it is approved by regulatory. Liaise with Fleet Technical Management (Engineering Technical Services - ETS), Part 21 DOA, UAE GCAA MOA (Manufacturing Organization), Component Repair or Reliability Departments for gathering facts and solid justification data for the capability establishment. Define new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) or Process Instruction Manuals / Stage Sheets / Work Order Job Cards that allows shop engineers to practice new capability deliverables. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the technical proficiency of the Work Shop\'s staff. Introduce external training / refresher training to allow Authorization approval scopes of certifying engineers remain valid. Liaise with Technical Publications, ETS and ensure all Work Shop publications (CMM, CMM-TR, SILs, CMM-ICA documents) are available for Work Shop Personnel access.
- Coordinate with internal related stake holders to implement the built/approved new capabilities in the workshop until the output of production is fully compliance with regulations. Participate in company internal compliance monitoring 145 Audits, external EASA 145 or GCAA CAR 145 Audits and demonstrate work shop regulatory compliance at all times.
- To be involved in any potential optimization and/or continually improvement if it\'s applicable for the newly built-up capabilities
- Specific Functions for Avionics Components:
- Assist in New Capabilities build-up opportunities of aircraft components and work with stakeholders to assess the requirement of establishing New Capabilities via Research and Development (R&D), Cost Benefit Analysis (Business Cases) to enhance the workshops capabilities.
- Coordinate with internal related stakeholders to implement the built/approved new capabilities in the workshop until the output of production is fully compliance with regulations. Participate in company internal compliance monitoring 145 Audits, external EASA 145 or GCAA CAR 145 Audits and demonstrate workshop regulatory compliance at all times.

Degree in Aeronautical
subjects/Mechanical/Avionics/Electronic/Tech Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence OR Engineering Apprenticeship.
- 9 years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering related fields.
- 4+ Years as a certifying staff in the relevant area
- Specific Qualifications/ Experience: Avionics/Structures/Cabin Shops: 4+years of EASA Form1/GCAA AW1 certification experience.
- Structure Shop: experience in aircraft structure repairs, composite basic & advanced training, Heat treatment, knowledge in Airbus & Boeing SRM and familiar on inspection methods
- Composite Shop : experience in aircraft structure Aeronautical, basic and advanced Composite training, knowledge in Airbus & Boeing SRM and familiar on inspection methods.
- Machine shop: Knowledge in programing CNC and operating manual machines (lathe, milling and drilling).
- Knowledge in Auto CAD, Solid Works, CATIA V5 or similar CAD/CAM packages.
- Ability to produce own CAD drawings when need arises. Bearing and bushing retention by swaging, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing / surface finish and roughness
- Plating Shop: knowledge on electroplating (Gold plating , anodizing and Cadmium plating) , Lab analysis and standard safety procedures
- Generic Knowledge/skills: - Fully conversant with Air Legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
