is responsible for training, mentoring, and evaluating technicians on the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft arresting systems (AAS). This role serves as a technical instructor and subject matter expert, ensuring personnel are qualified, compliant, and proficient in accordance with applicable aviation, military, and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Deliver classroom and hands-on training for aircraft arresting systems (AAS), including installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Develop, update, and maintain training materials such as lesson plans, technical manuals, job qualification standards, and safety procedures
Evaluate technician performance and certify competency in accordance with governing standards and program requirements
Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to technicians during field operations
Ensure training aligns with applicable regulations, technical orders, UFCs, FAA guidance, and manufacturer requirements
Promote safe work practices and compliance with airfield and occupational safety standards
Assist with inspections, testing, and maintenance activities to demonstrate proper techniques and procedures
Identify training gaps and recommend improvements to training programs and procedures
Maintain training records, certifications, and qualification documentation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
Possess a valid U.S. Passport (preferred)
Must be able to meet all current USCENTCOM Deployment Policy Requirements, as outlined in the USCENTCOM APR 23 MOD EIGHTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY
Able to obtain and maintain a valid Residency Visa for Qatar
Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

100%, in deployed location.
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Must have and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
