YOUR ROLE
To closely monitor Air and improve all Air cargo operational processes by carrying out the responsibility and management of the Airline Product and Operations Team, the airports and the air cargo teams at the branches. Increasing air cargo revenues and creating air cargo strategy in line with budget targets. Supporting field sales activities, seeking new sectors and markets.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Effectively leads and manages the team. Knows the company/ department goals and strategies and directs the team accordingly. Manages the actual realization of the air operations movement organization, customer contract management, quality management and personnel of the region and customer operations in accordance with the company and financial targets, and planning, management, and development activities for this purpose.
Manages the budgets, financial performance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and quality control of the International Air Operations Department in specific areas of responsibility. Takes actions to improve internal and external customer relations. Supports the Sales Team and identifies new target companies.
Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to responsible managers regarding projects, programs and/ or Support functions in the field of International Air Operations. Takes actions to keep and improve relations with suppliers.
Leads and directs the purchasing activities and is responsible for the competitiveness of the costs incurred. Provides airline capacities. Makes short-term and long-term capacity agreements. Takes action to realize the KPIs requested by Global and delegates the team.
Guides the team on System usage and plans the training needs. Responsible for the teams' compliance with company's compliance policies. Responsible for developing relations with overseas offices. Develops methods to achieve business objectives at the optimum return on investment level for the company.
Shares important international, domestic and sectoral news and situations with the teams. Closely monitors the development plans of the branches, makes routine branch visits and receives reports. Runs the escalation system on issues that need to be resolved or support.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Logistics or a related field required.
Minimum 15-17 years of industry experience
Being a true Air freight specialist
Good leadership skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
In depth Knowledge of the company's global products and services.
In depth Knowledge of transportation, logistics and supply chains services and operations.
