About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on, technically competent

AI Site Engineer

to join our AI infrastructure deployment team. This role is

primarily field-based

and requires regular travel to customer or internal sites for

surveys, deployment, testing, installation, and demos

of AI infrastructure--particularly servers, edge devices, and associated networking components.

This is not a traditional desk job. You will be

on the ground

, making things work where it matters most.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site surveys to evaluate environmental and technical readiness for AI system deployments. Perform physical installation and configuration of servers, edge AI devices, and networking hardware. Carry out live demos and testing of deployed AI models in real-world environments. Serve as a technical liaison between engineering teams and on-site stakeholders. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues on-site during deployment or post-installation. Provide regular reports on deployment status, testing outcomes, and post-installation feedback. Be ready to

travel to any site as and when required

--sometimes at short notice.

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience working with

Linux systems

(installation, networking, services, scripting). Basic understanding of server hardware, edge computing devices, and basic networking (IP configuration) Ability to work independently in unfamiliar environments and represent the technical team on-site. Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

Experience with

Python

scripting for automation and testing. Exposure to

AI/ML model deployment

, particularly using common frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX). Experience using tools like Docker or remote orchestration systems.

Working Conditions:

Extensive travel to deployment and customer sites is a

core requirement

Civil engineers and electrical engineers need not apply.

This is not a construction or electrical engineering role.

This job is

strictly focused on AI systems deployment, testing, and on-site operations

. The candidate must be prepared to physically visit and work at deployment locations regularly.
