Job Summary:

As a Repair & Rebuilds Aftermarket Services Consultant, you will serve as a specialist in Repair & Rebuild Planning, Repair Options Marketing and Engines and Drivetrain Commercial Product Management. You will be accountable for the Engine and Drivetrain Parts Business Plan. You will also be accountable for the Planned Components Rebuild Coverage and Conformance (Accuracy) across the regions as well as deploying key initiatives such as PRISM (Proactive Integrated Supply Management) with selected mining customers. Your territorial scope will be the EAME Region (Europe Africa Middle East and Eurasia) and Industry scope will be Resources Industry (or Mining).

This role is a key interface between Regional Sales teams, the Industries, and the Product Groups. You will liaise with various departments including Global Product Managers, Industry Sales Managers, Regional Product Marketing Teams, and DSD Global Services Teams.

What You Will Do:
  • Grow Engine and Drivetrain Sales to Users Parts Business
  • Increase Planned Components Rebuild Coverage and Improve Accuracy and Conformance
  • Assess and Developing Dealer\'s capabilities in Component Demand Planning and Management.
  • Lead and Coordinate Component Planning activities with Key Customers including deep understanding of scheduling repairs, ordering parts, and managing inventory levels. You will work closely with the Parts operations teams to ensure repairs are completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement specific Programs, Solutions, Process with Strategic Accounts (e.g. PRISM)
  • Provide Insights into Customer PCR Content and provide recommendations and guidance on choice of Repairs to improve Life Cycle Cost
  • Work closely and guide Aftermarket Services Reps , Central Aftermarket Team and DSD to address Dealer Repair Options Commercial Strategies, Capabilities and Capacity.
  • Work Closely with Site Performance Managers to leverage PCRs for improving Fleet Physical Availability Targets.
  • Own and Lead marketing programs with Sales Variance Budgets to address Repair Options Growth Plans & volume targets, POPS-C objectives and net price realization globally.
  • Provide training for Caterpillar, dealer and customer personnel with guidance and insights for future solutions and industry needs.
  • Collect and channel across the organization, Voice of Customer and Market including Competitive insights and reviews
  • Promote and Grow Customer Value Agreements to manage commercial terms and relationship.
  • Communicating effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations.
  • Position will require travel of up to 50%.
What You Have:

Basic Qualifications:
  • The position requires product commercial and technical experience
  • Requires Experience and Deep Understanding of Mining Industry,
  • Requires Strong Knowledge of Earthmoving Equipment, Asset and Fleet management and Life Cycle Management.
  • Requires strong knowledge and experience in S&OP and Parts Inventory and Order Fulfillment Operations
  • Previous Experience as a Field Rep covering Customers and Dealers
  • Experience in Asset Management Software and Predictive Modeling
  • The position requires strong leadership capabilities, organizational and analytical skills and be highly proficient working team dynamics and interpersonal relationships to successfully influence others and achieve challenging goals across the global Caterpillar enterprise.
  • The position requires a broad business background, excellent communication skills and be willing to be a strong advocate of the customer and the enterprise. Mining experience is indispensable .
  • Expertise may be in a specific industry or product (major class). Incumbents demonstrate creativity, innovation, foresight, business judgment and outstanding product/industry knowledge or marketing/distribution knowledge along with the sensitivity to customer financial impact. Incumbents have knowledge, recognition and expertise on industry & market requirements, technology watch and regulations.
  • The position must possess strong applications experience, life cycle cost knowledge of dealers\' and customers\' application, industry and marketplace needs.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations.
  • Ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Top Candidates will also have:
  • Previous industry / product experience, MBA or equivalent, multiple language capabilities are all preferred.
  • Experience of working in the mining industry would be very beneficial
