Role Summary

We are looking for an Accountant to join our growing team and manage account payables, receivables, general ledger, trial balance, internal control, compliance, and reconciliation at month end closing.

\xe2\x97\x8f Prepare assets, liabilities, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
\xe2\x97\x8f Document financial transactions by entering account information
\xe2\x97\x8f Recommend financial action by analyzing accounting options
\xe2\x97\x8f Summarize current financial status by collecting information, prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement
\xe2\x97\x8f Substantiate financial transaction by auditing the documents
\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain accounting control by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
\xe2\x97\x8f Secure financial information by completing database backups
\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain financial security by following internal controls
\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
\xe2\x97\x8f Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
\xe2\x97\x8f Process account payable transactions including entering invoices and verifying proper authorization, supporting documents and requesting disbursements
\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure month-end closing to include reconciling account payables trial balance in order to ensure correctness and accuracy
\xe2\x97\x8f Oversee consolidation of monthly / financial year closing and assist the Financial Control
\xe2\x97\x8fManager in the preparation of annual report using IFRS standards
\xe2\x97\x8f Prepare and review all account payables financial reports and data in a timely and accurate manner.
\xe2\x97\x8f Collect receivables from restaurants
\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain the billing system by preparing bills and invoices, specifying the terms and conditions for the payment, payment due date, amount, method of payment and due balance
\xe2\x97\x8f Manage the cash and cheque payment details for bank deposit
\xe2\x97\x8f Reconcile the account receivables to ensure that all payments are accounted properly on weekly, monthly and yearly basis
\xe2\x97\x8f Generate financial statements and reports detailing paid and unpaid invoices, bank deposit records, reports of active accounts, Age analysis, status of the accounts and collection on weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually basis using IFRS standards
\xe2\x97\x8f Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals and variances
\xe2\x97\x8f Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations
\xe2\x97\x8f Ensure transactions posted to GL comply with IFRS standards
\xe2\x97\x8f Trial balance report on monthly basis

What are we looking for:

\xe2\x97\x8f High school diploma or equivalent education
\xe2\x97\x8f Prior experience in an administrative support role preferred, but not required
\xe2\x97\x8f Familiarity with basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
\xe2\x97\x8f Strong organizational and time management skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Good verbal and written communication skills
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work independently and as part of a team
\xe2\x97\x8f Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
\xe2\x97\x8f Professional demeanor and positive attitude
\xe2\x97\x8f Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as needed
\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
