Role Summary/Purpose
The Accountant Assistant supports the finance team in managing the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for assisting with bookkeeping, financial reporting, payment follow-ups, and account reconciliations. The Accountant Assistant ensures accuracy in financial records, supports project accounting, and helps maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards. By providing reliable financial support, the role contributes to efficient financial management and overall business profitability.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree not required).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar). Strong understanding of chart of accounts, project accounting, and inventory management. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, cash flow, profitability reports).
Knowledge & Abilities: Experience in closing accounts at month-end and year-end. Monitoring and managing accounts receivable, payables, and post-dated checks. Preparing and submitting reporting packages for management (e.g., cash flow, financial performance updates). Ability to conduct project feasibility analysis and cost tracking.
Other Requirements: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Persistence in following up payments and ensuring timely collections. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good interpersonal skills and professional communication ability.
