Adjunct Faculty - Real Estate
In light of the life-long learning department's continued growth, Heriot-Watt University Dubai is expanding its expert teaching pool and invites applications from seasoned real estate professionals to join our Adjunct Faculty for programme delivery across two exciting streams: Heriot-Watt Online Real Estate Programmes and bespoke real estate trainings in Executive Education. This opportunity is offering a direct engagement with top-tier global brands and strategic partners. The candidate will play a key role in academic delivery to further advance the growth of the Executive Education department in Real Estate and expand its presence in the GCC region.The role is closely working with Heriot-Watt Online team and Executive Education Department and requires a collaborative approach to achieve shared goal of upskilling professionals to the highest standard.
1. Heriot-Watt Online Real Estate Programmes
Location: Global (Remote)
We're seeking dynamic educators from anywhere in the world with strong academic backgrounds to support our online MSc Real Estate programmes. Ideal candidates will bring university-level teaching experience and the ability to engage diverse, international learners online.
2. Bespoke Executive Education in Real Estate
Location: GCC Region (with UAE & KSA focus)
For our fast-growing executive education portfolio, we are looking for real estate experts based in the Gulf region with substantial industry experience. These programmes are delivered in-person or hybrid, targeting senior professionals up to C-suite level in both private and government sectors. This role will closely collaborate with the Head of Executive Education at Heriot-Watt University Dubai campus.
Key Responsibilities for Both Roles:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging learning experiences for executive and postgraduate-level participants.
• Support curriculum development with academic teams in the School of Energy, Geoscience, Infrastructure, and Society (Real Estate Section).
• Offer mentorship and meaningful feedback to learners at various stages of their careers.
• Close collaboration with Heriot-Watt Online and Executive Education teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' real estate industry experience or academic experience teaching in real estate.
• RICS (certification or membership - please can you confirm this bit for me? Thanks) or equivalent professional qualification.
• A Master's or PhD in Real Estate, Construction, or a related field.
• Proven track record in course delivery, ideally including executive or postgraduate teaching.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with industry clients.
• Strong communication and presence, with the ability to teach up to C-suite level.
• For Executive Education: Must be based in the GCC region and able to travel within the region.
• Experience in designing and assessing curricula.
• University-level teaching experience (especially for Heriot-Watt Online roles).
