English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
teaching, ensuring students acquire the academic and language skills necessary for success in higher education.
The Role
We are seeking
Adjunct Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
to support the delivery of the IYZ programme. You will be joining an enthusiastic and supportive team dedicated to positioning the Global Pathways Centre as a regional hub for English Language and Academic Skills excellence.
The role includes teaching the following modules:
Block 1
- TEAP0101D: English for Academic Purposes 1* Duration: 6 weeks (29th September - 7th November 2025)
Teaching Load: 132 hours (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Block 2
- TASS0100D: Academic and Study Skills* Duration: 5 weeks (10th November - 12th December 2025)
Teaching Load: 198 hours (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
Additional Responsibilities:
Preparing and delivering engaging lessons across EAP skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) in academic contexts
Assessment design, delivery, and grading
Providing academic support and feedback to students
Supporting programme development and enhancement activities
Contract Duration:
29th September 2025 - 12th December 2025
This is an
hourly-paid adjunct faculty position
, with 2-3 positions available.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications (Required):
Master's degree in an English-related discipline (e.g., ELT, Applied Linguistics, TESOL)
A recognised ELT qualification (e.g., DELTA, equivalent postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional experience)
All qualifications must be
attested by the UAE Ministry of Education
and supported by a valid
Equivalency Certificate
Experience:
Minimum of
3-5 years of teaching experience
in English for Academic Purposes (EAP) at the higher education level (UK experience preferred)
Proven ability to design and deliver EAP lessons across all four skills in academic contexts
Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment practices
Experience supporting international students in higher education
Skills & Attributes:

Ability to deliver high-quality teaching in a multicultural environment
Team-oriented approach with adaptability and resilience
Desirable Criteria:
Experience teaching on international pathway programmes or foundation year programmes
