Job Description

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage our credit control and collection processes. The successful candidate will ensure timely payments from customers, maintain accurate financial records, and resolve billing disputes efficiently.

?Key Responsibilities

?Collection & Follow-up: Proactively follow up with customers via phone and email to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices. ?Statement Management: Prepare and share monthly Statements of Account (SOA) and maintain an updated Customer Ageing Analysis. ?Payment Processing: Accurately post receipts from various channels (Cash, Cheque, and Bank Transfers) and arrange for physical cheque deposits. ?Reporting: Provide management with regular reports on sales and collections, specifically highlighting long-overdue accounts and non-paying customers. ?Reconciliation & Disputes: Perform regular customer account reconciliations and act as the primary point of contact to resolve billing or payment disputes. ?Internal Coordination: Work closely with the Sales team and Collection Agents to streamline the payment collection process and provide updates on account statuses.

Requirements

?Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

?Experience: Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or a similar role.

?Communication: Excellent communication skills for professional negotiation and debt collection.

?Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (for ageing reports and data analysis).

?Attributes: High level of accuracy, persistence, and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.
