Job Description

Role Purpose:

To take full ownership of the company's

lease accounting and IFRS 16 compliance

, ensuring accurate recognition, reporting, and management of all lease-related transactions, including direct debits and lease payments. In addition, the role is responsible for managing broader finance functions such as

general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing

, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial statements.

Key Responsibilities

Lease Accounting & IFRS 16 Compliance

Manage complete lease accounting under IFRS 16, including recognition, measurement, depreciation, interest, remeasurements, and reporting. Ensure compliance with standards and internal policies.

Lease Payments & Direct Debits

Oversee timely processing of lease-related payments, including direct debits, rent, and associated charges. Monitor accuracy and maintain payment schedules..

Monthly Lease Payment Reporting

Prepare and circulate monthly lease payment reports, ensuring management visibility of due dates, cash flow impact, and compliance with contractual obligations.

Cash Flow & Funding Management

Monitor cash flow requirements and ensure sufficient funding in bank accounts to meet lease liabilities. Coordinate with banks for fund movements and optimize liquidity management..

General Accounting & Closing

Handle month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation. Ensure completeness and accuracy of books.

Audit & Compliance

Prepare supporting schedules for audits, respond to auditor queries on lease accounting and general finance areas, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT, tax, and other regulations.

Systems & Controls

Strengthen internal controls by developing and implementing a

leasing module in ERP D365 integrated with finance systems

. Ensure smooth functioning of accounting systems and recommend continuous process improvements.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
