Accounting Specialist Responsible for journal entries and to assist in the support for the accounting and reporting for the ABS Corporate Division. What You Will Do: Preparation of the monthly recurring journals entries. Preparation of overhead allocations. Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required. Compilation of the monthly rolling forecast of profitability. Assist in the compilation of the annual corporate budget. Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis on an as requested basis. Analysis of Corporate client receivables. All other applicable duties as assigned by the Senior Financial Corporate Analyst. Understand the standard & modern attack techniques on applications, systems and networks Qualifications What You Will Need: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of the latest spreadsheet or word processing software. Knowledge in financial reporting systems. Knowledge in general ledger system and subsystems. Good communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with others, and the ability to communicate directly with upper management. The ability to be pro-active in preventing errors and detecting areas at risk, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Needs to be familiar with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum years of ExperienceRequires a minimum of five (5) years previous accounting and financial experience. Reporting Relationships Reports directly into an accounting supervisor or manager. Direct Reports May have individual contributor direct reports based on project requirements. Working Conditions Work will normally be performed in an air-conditioned office environment. May occasionally be required to lift 5 - 25 pounds. Occasionally, will be required to travel to manufacturing plants, remote field sites or go aboard marine vessels or structures. Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), in accordance with SFY-PRO-00040, is required in such occasions. If the work will be performed in confined spaces, the relevant requirements of the confined space entry in ABS Safety Manual shall be complied with. Work will be of a non-manual nature, but the incumbent must be able to walk and climb among equipment and structures. May be required to travel up to 50%.
