We are seeking an Accounting Manager Middle East (Arabic Speaker) for a large construction company in the GCC. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and will be managing a team across UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Egypt.

The Accounting Manager\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information, projects Accounting, treasury (Cash Management & Facilities Management), general Accounting & taxation & Audit.

Responsibilities * Plant Accounting Responsibilities:

• Administer the whole plant accounting cycle.

• Responsible for collection and verification of plant-related data needed for the Monthly closing of accounting records.

• Responsible for advocating, reconciling, and providing plant financial and accounting records for the purpose of the annual audit of the financial statements.

• Responsible for executing adequate cut-off procedures at each month\xe2\x80\x99s closing.

• Responsible for producing monthly plant income statements.

• Monitor the internal control environment in the plant department.

2. Project Accounting Responsibilities:

• Administer the whole project accounting cycle.

• Responsible for collection and verification of data needed for the monthly closing of accounting records.

• Responsible for advocating, reconciling, and providing project financial and accounting records for the purpose of the annual audit of financial statements.

• Attending project kickoff meetings and ensuring all finance-related requirements are properly addressed.

• Initiate and update the documentation of all project finance-related policies, procedures, and desk procedures.

3. General Accounting Responsibilities:

• Administer the whole general accounting cycle.

• Responsible for collecting and verifying general accounting-related data needed for the monthly closing of accounting records.

• Responsible for advocating, reconciling, and providing general financial and accounting records for the purpose of the annual audit of the financial statements.

• Responsible for managing the whole monthly accounting closing cycle.

• Responsible for executing adequate cut-off procedures at each month\xe2\x80\x99s closing.

4. Treasury and Financial Reporting Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements according to auditors and IFRS formats.

• Responsible for the development of annual budgets.

• Development of business plans.

• Monitoring of budgets.

• Review banking agreements.

• Make sure that bank-related balances are reconciled in a timely manner and treasury transactions are recorded properly.

Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Additional accounting qualification Certified Management Accountant (CMA) / Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered accountant (CA) / Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

• Minimum 10 years of experience, at least 2 years of which in the construction sector and at least 3 years in a managerial position.

• Must have UAE & GCC experience.

• Fluent in Arabic and good command of English.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.

• Exceptional math skills.

• Proficiency with computers, especially bookkeeping software, and MS Office.

• High level of efficiency and accuracy.

• Willingness to comply with all local, state, federal, and company regulations.

• Attention to detail and the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
