: Accountant & Purchasing Officer (Restaurant Experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Accountant with hands-on experience in Foodics POS & Accounting systems to join our team. This role combines financial accounting duties with restaurant purchasing responsibilities, ensuring smooth financial operations and efficient supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:Accounting Duties:

Record and reconcile daily sales, payments, and expenses using Foodics accounting reports.

Maintain accurate financial records, journal entries, and general ledger updates.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely payments.

Manage payroll, gratuity, and staff-related accounting entries.

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Coordinate with auditors and ensure compliance with VAT and local regulations.

Purchasing Duties:

Source and evaluate suppliers for food, beverages, disposables, and restaurant supplies.

Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.

Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and enter all procurement data accurately in the system.

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with kitchen and store to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.

Ensure that deliveries match orders and manage any discrepancies with suppliers.

Maintain relationships with existing vendors while scouting for new reliable suppliers.

Ensure procurement cost control and quality standards.

Software & Reporting:

Use Foodics back office and accounting integration features for sales, inventory, and purchasing data.

Generate real-time reports for management and assist with monthly cost of goods sold (COGS) analysis.

Collaborate with storekeepers and chefs to maintain accurate inventory records in Foodics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience as an accountant in the F&B / restaurant industry.

Proven experience using Foodics POS and back office modules.

Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.

Experience in restaurant purchasing and supplier negotiations.

Proficient in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP).
