1.1 Job Scope Summary

The accountant is responsible for applying professional accounting principles (IFRS), concepts, practices, and procedures in performing assigned accounting tasks to support the facility in maintaining the continued operation of the plant in compliance with state and federal regulations, corporate procedures, and contractual obligations. The position is very diverse and has notable variation in the level of detail and complexity of tasks.

1.2 Job Responsibilities
Responsible for accounts payable invoice processing, including problem resolution
Prepares all monthly journal entries.
Responsible for specific month-end activities, including accruals, reports, and analyses
Performs cashier responsibilities, including preparing bank deposits and maintaining cash disbursement records
Performs various cost accounting functions
Provide ongoing purchasing contracts administration including, revision management, warranty claim resolution, discrepancies settlement, etc., as required during the life of the contract
Understand and ensure compliance of materials/equipment with codes and regulations.
Visit suppliers' plants as required for keeping current on their capabilities, investigate new manufacturing applications, and interfacing with their management personnel
Maintain an ongoing cost reduction effort
Conduct surveys and market studies to determine price levels, trends, business activity, and availability of commodities.
Guide user departments relative to these items
Develop rapport with facility personnel, engineering, and project management interfaces to ensure a comprehensive knowledge/understanding of the technical requirements and applications of assigned commodities.
Participate in complex negotiations involving international suppliers encompassing exchange rate fluctuations, special transportation considerations, and customs regulations. These could be team negotiations with representatives from Project Management, Engineering, Quality, and others
Ensure deliveries are maintained.
Directly reviews cost estimates with Purchasing and Proposal.
Management personnel to develop an optimum cost estimate for purchased goods and services going into the proposal.
As appropriate, in conjunction with Legal and Project Management, develop project-specific terms and conditions to be included in project purchase orders.
Familiar with basic HSE rules and requirements.
Coordinate and support Auditors Internal or external and provide them the documents as when required
Comply with legal requirements related Finance department.
Reports promptly any breaches of HSE procedures to supervision/management.

1.3 Educational/Professional Qualifications/Training Certifications
B.S. degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or has equivalent experience
Post-graduate management degree preferred

1.4 Job Experience
5-10 years of experience in the finance & accounting field with at least 4 years of Middle East experience
Minimum 3-5 years of applicable experience

Adaptability: Demonstrate reliability, high ability to work under pressure, social competency, ability to manage conflict, assertiveness, and service-oriented.

Communication: Lead and communicate clearly to the team about any financial changes, encourage discussions of views, ideas, and thoughts of others, and the ability to write clear reports, and business correspondence.
