Record and reconcile revenue and expenses related to shipping operations, including freight charges, port fees, and bunker costs.
Prepare and issue invoices for import/export shipments and freight forwarding services.
Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
Track vessel operating expenses and prepare reports for voyage profitability analysis.
Liaise with operations and logistics teams to validate financial data against shipping documents (BLs, invoices, charter party agreements).
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with vendors, shipping agents, and clients.
Handle foreign currency transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
Assist with audits and ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and maritime accounting regulations.
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting and forecasting for shipping-related projects.
Ensure proper documentation and filing for customs, port authorities, and internal controls.
