JOB Summary
The Area Accountant is responsible for monthly close and other basic accounting responsibilities related to reconciliation, AR & AP, VAT, Tax.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare tax invoices which are to be in line with VAT compliance.
- Attach the delivery docs & PO copies to each invoice as per customer requirements.
- Dispatch the invoices to customer as per their requirements (either by email, or courier)
- Record the invoices in customer portals including SANAD
- Prepare manual proforma invoices for advance payment customers.
- Invoice cash application of the payments received from customers.
- Support the ARM preparations.
- Assist in monthly close process and ensure proper documentation and filing of support information
- Assist in calculating and preparing journal entries for local transactions as indicated in the monthly close checklist
- Assist in review of monthly financial statements and assist in preparation of variance analysis against forecast and prior month
- Assist in preparation of balance sheet reconciliation
- Assist in management of audit (internal, external and statutory)
- Assist in operational financial and capital analysis
- Assist in preparation of inter-company reconciliation
- Preparation of accounting and administration reports as and when needed
- Assist with/coordinate special projects as and when needed
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- University degree business/accounting, preference for professional qualification i.e. ACCA, CPA, CA or CMA
- Fluency in English
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 or more years in Finance or Accounting
- Oracle & Hyperion experience preferred
- Multinational business familiarity essential
